Treasure Hunt

This past weekend Seth had the fun idea of putting together a little treasure hunt for the kids. 

We (mostly Seth) worked on it Sunday during the kids' nap

Once the girls woke up, we handed them their first clue which said, "Where do you bounce bounce"

With a picture of a trampoline on it

and off they went to find their next clue at the trampoline

The next clue said, "Where do you keep your favorite drinks?"

Neela did not *quite get it at first, hahaha, still just standing at the trampoline :)

 

SJ finding her next clue down in her Yoo-Hoo drawer (yes, this child is living large!) with her yoo-hoo's stocked!

Her next clue sent her to her car

had to take the car for a little spin :)

Neela was starting to catch on by now, but she is an incredibly slow walker and SJ was so pumped and running so fast to her next clues, so we ended up basically having to drag Neela Grace around!

This clue led them to Neena's bed (p.s. notice how "Frankie" (the blankie) is totally involved in the hunt and reading the clues right along with girls!)

"Where is Baby Rocket going to sleep?"

Where is the fire place (we had to keep it simple for them, hee hee)

Get that clue, girl :)

 FINALLY, she gets it

"Where do we keep the mail?"

and she's off,,,,

She was RUNNING and literally sweating!  I love how she gets so into things (just like her fun daddy)

Final clue led us back inside,,,it said  "where did you hide your blankie this morning"

I WISH I would have had the video camera out for how Neela was eating the M's!!  She was going to TOWN!!

Don't worry, she is on a "spit/chew" diet,,,,yuck! soooo sick!!!  this is what happens when she puts too much of anything in her mouth at one time

The hunt was a lot of fun! The girls loved it!!  Stevie Joy even asked if we could have another treasure hunt at her birthday party, but an Angry Bird treasure hunt,,,sure, entertainment=check! :)

I love my sweet, fun husband for doing fun things like this to make our Sunday Family afternoons that much more special,,he ROCKS!!!
