Boo Boo

Stevie Joy has recently been complaining about us hurting her "boo boo" when we pick her up (like pick her up under her arms to put her on our hip, or into the car or something.
We thought that she just meant we were grabbing her too hard or something, because we saw no boo boo anywhere.
However, today Seth finally saw what she was talking about.
There was this hard as a rock thing under her arm. What the heck?!
It felt like a bone sticking out or some sort of weird growth or something.
We were pretty concerned.

It looked so weird and random.
We prayed over it and decided to take her up to the walk-in clinic at our doctor's office, to have them take a look at it, just to be safe.  I didn't have to be at work until noon, so the timing worked out great.

side note:  Oh man, the life with just one kiddo at a doctor's office,,,ha!
I'm not kidding, I almost fell asleep I was so chilled!!

She doesn't complain about the bump unless you touch it, but if you do touch it, then she SCREAMS in pain and cries so bad!!!!!!
The doc looked her over and said that she has Lymphadenitis.
Which is an infection of the lymph nodes.
He prescribed her some meds and said it should go away within a week or two.
If it has not gone away in 14 days or if it starts to get bigger even while on the meds, then
she may have to get it cut out, but I feel pretty confident that it will not have to come to that.

I am so glad that we took her in to have her bump looked at.
Bless her heart, she was such a great sport about the whole thing.
We enjoyed our one on one time, even if it was spent in a doctor's office, we made it fun :)
We read magazines together, had lots of talks about life, told jokes (mostly poop jokes), sang so many songs, you know just typical mother daughter things!
God is so good to us and He always takes great care of us!!

  1. That looks so sore. Be glad when it goes down quickly. Did it bother her dancing? She looked like she was so glad to be back at dance class.
