Baby Dedication

This past weekend, was the baby dedication at our church.

With our baby dedication, we thank God for our child, and value the precious gift that we have received. With this dedication we promise to raise this child in alignment with Godly principles, and our biological family and church family stands with us in this process.

 

It made my heart so happy that Olive and Lucy were able to get dedicated together :)

I was so happy that Seth's parents were in town and that my parents came too :)

 

It was an extra special day! We love our baby girls so much!!

 

We are very happy and content with our church home.  We feel connected, fed, rich and loved!!!!!!

Ashleigh's RAD 80's Bday Party

OMGosh, funnest party!

We all put together this super fun, totally RAD 80's bday party for 

our good friend, Ashleigh!!

We met up at Bleu Cafe downtown decked OUT in our

80's attire!!

 

the food was super yummy and the company was great!

Lizzie even got hit on by a pretty cute dude, which was basically my favorite part of the night :) 

The waitress came over and said that the gentleman would like to buy her a drink, and she immediately 

responded by holding up her ring finger and saying, "WHAT?! I am married!!!"

hahaha, like he could've known!  He even later came over to apologize, he was really sweet!

This was the joke of the night on Liz :)

After dinner, we had a little "photo shoot" in the alley

 

We all walked around down town to all the little shops that were set up.

It was First Friday, which meant there were lots of local bands to enjoy :)

After walking around for a few hours, we then chilled at Bas Bleu for a while to listen to the band there.

hahaha, I kept texting Seth about making some blondies,,the girls (okay, Liz) kept craving some!!

I serenaded Ashleigh a little birthday song up on the stage with the band, this was another one of 

my favorite moments from the night ;)

Totally 80's!!

My only request all night was that we broke it down club style for at least one song in Glo!

Free cover charge so that wasn't too hard to talk them into :)

I requested an 80's song and we ROCKED THAT JUNK OUT!!!
We were the only ones on the dance floor, ha!

 After dancing, we headed back to my house for some charades and blondies

(perfect way to end the night, huh?)

Can I just say that my hubby is the BEST!  

When people ask me how I do it all,,,I say "I have a super supportive and helpful husband!"

He not only let me go out, he put the kids to bed, help set up refreshments, and decorated the house!!

oh and then made the blondies, I am telling you, he is awesome!

also, he has two cute single brothers,,hint hint to any single ladies :) :)

We played charades, hung out, laughed, partied, grubbed, talked, you know

"girl stuff"!!  We actually stayed up until 4:00 a.m.,,,crazy!

 Oh yeah and then I somehow put my wedding dvd on, haha, I never

get tired of watching that thing :)

It was a great night!

We had a wonderful time spoiling Little Miss Ashleigh on her birthday!

It makes me so happy that she had a great time, she is such a special friend to us all!!!

 I think I am finally caught up on my missed sleep.

I am looking forward to my next little outing, I am hoping Seth goes out with some of his friends next though, he totally deserves a night out and I really want to return the favor!

Alina and our Dance Recital

The girls had a friend over the other day, Alina :)

They all played really well together.  At first, she walked in and Titus was all like,

"What the heck ANOTHER girl?" hahaha

but then he warmed up to her pretty fast.

Once Titus and Olive went down for naps, we put on a little dance recital

complete with costumes

 

and an audience of stuffed animals :)

Stevie Joy loved showing us all her dance moves!!

She is so excited about her dance class starting up in a few weeks, we are believing God for the money for two kiddos in dance!  Although, just recently Neela has been saying that she wants to play soccer instead, so we will see how that plays out :)

Neela would make an adorable little dancer, but I don't want to push her into anything, 

I don't want her thinking that just because Stevie takes dance that she has to, ya know?

Also, just because it would be loads easier on me if they both were in the same thing, I really really

want my kids to do what they are passionate about and interested in.

The kids had a lot of fun with Alina (Yaya is what they call her).  

It was nice to be able to help out her mommy so she could write lesson plans and for the girls to 

have some fun friend time! Next friend over will probably need to be a boy for Titus's sake, hahaha :)

Titus's Birthday Party

This past weekend we celebrated Titus's 2nd birthday, 

McDonald's style!!!

We chose McDonalds's because our cousin, Catherine, works there and she is sooo great at hosting the parties.  Also, with 4 parties a year sometimes we like to take the "easy route".

It was fairly inexpensive ($60) for cake, ice cream, happy meals, toys, to go baggies!!

As usual, our family dressed up :)

Seth was dressed as a McDonalds worker and SJ was some french fries (we just happen to have this costume, we actually have 2 costumes but couldn't find the other one)

Neela dressed in her McDonalds colors too ;)

The kids really enjoyed the playground and the adults enjoyed watching :)

but Lucy LOVES me! she is constantly wanting me to hold her

she must know that I LOVE babies :)

The party was so much fun and it was great to just come home to a clean house!

It was so easy that we keep joking that we are never hosting another party at our house again :)
