Stevie (and Neela) have a fun friend from church named Shelby. Each Sunday when I pick up the girls from nursery, they all ask (including Shelby) about Shelby staying the night with us. I was so excited about it and thought it would be a lot of fun, and defly wanted to do it before I came home from the hospital with a new baby and recovering from a c-section. It's funny the things that are on my "list of things to do before Rocket comes" :)
Anyways, we had Shell Bell (what my fam likes to call her, ha) over this Sunday (she rode home with us after church, how fun!) to stay the night.
Once we got home from church, we ate lunch and got Titus down for his nap, then the girls got to watch a little movie while eating popcorn :)
We didn't think that that the girls would nap together and we don't have enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own, plus Titus, so we laid Neela down in her room and let the "big girls" stay up and just have some "rest/quiet time" on the couch (and we took advantage of having our room free during nap time, SJ normally naps in there, and we cleaned up our room!!! mark that off the "b4 rocket list", ha!)
After naps, we rode around on the golf cart, played in the back yard, made some Pizza, played Cootie (of course), took baths, and played their hearts out!!
Can you tell how much fun they are having!!
Can't leave out our "boy" :)
That night we put them to bed a little early since they missed their naps and since we knew that they would stay up and play and talk for a while no matter what time we put them to bed anyway (that's what slumber parties are ALL about right!?). Seth was so sweet and offered to sleep on the couch in case Shelby got scared in the middle of the night, we would be sure to hear her and it wouldn't wake me up (jack pot hubby, I know!). The next morning when I woke up, Seth said that one child had woken up during the night and came out of the room and walked around, he thought it was Shelby, but it was NEELA!! She was randomly walking around in her sleep saying, "Tommy, Tommy?",,the girl is obsessed with that cat!!! When he went to put her back in bed, he said that Stevie and Shelby were "spooning" how sweet :)
We had breakfast, and the kids played really well together for a while. We were all out of coffee, so we took the kids to McDonalds around 10 to play in the play area, while we sipped coffees and high-fived each other knowing that we just rocked out 4 kiddos under 4 years of age!! P.S. you cannot go anywhere with this many kids without a ton of people staring at you :)
We let them play at the play yard at McDonalds for about an hour, then had to run by Seth's parents for a minute to pick up a few things, then took Shelby home while we were out and about.
The girls all had a good time, and I even think Titus enjoyed having a new girl in the house :) He laughed at her a lot and followed her around, Shelby has a little brother too, so she knew how to "handle" him,,as in how to ignore him when he's whining and how to run away from him if he is trying to pull her hair, hahaha!
She was really well behaved and sweet the entire time she was with us, and then of course, right when we get her home she had a meltdown,,,why are kids so much better for other people???
