Megow Store Opening

I love playing pretend with my kiddos.  Kids really do learn best in their natural setting, through play, and if it is something they are interested in (Yes, I have my degree in education, hahaha).

The other day we played "Store".

We made signs, got little grocery baggies, set up the laptop for the cashier, and made a little price sheet (number recognition)

oh and money, lots of money :)

SJ really wanted to be the "payer" as she called it
Titus played along quite well

here is our price sheet, I let the kids pick out what they wanted to sell at their "store"
"poop" always ends up in all of our games somehow??? ;)

The lady at Fiveash's here in Hahira wears a red apron how SJ recalled this I have no clue (but she really does)  I was sure to notice last time we were in that store, my child must have a photographic memory
Anyways, SJ wanted to wear her red apron to really be the "payer"
I do, however, feel pretty certain that she does not wear a lady bug hat, hahaha

What kind of shopper are you?

a focused get it done shopper:

or a stop and fluff your hair shopper? ;)

I love watching my kids play so well together, often Seth and I just sit back and smile at them, they really are so cute and sweet and growing up rather lovely :)

My little "payer" a.k.a cashier

another thing we do with this game is spelling out the words, I just open up a Word document and she spells the word of the item being bought, often she can spell it on her own, but I help her when she gets stuck

Olive makes a great customer, ha! (p.s. check out her jeggings, even the baby rocks them)

Like most games we play around here,,,Stevie Joy is into them hardcore for a long time, but the younger ones lose interest pretty quickly and need something else to do while she is "on a roll"

or they (like Neela here) just lay around waiting on the next activity :)

Ahhhhh 5:00!!!!!!

Probably none of you guys' house looks like this, but here is how my house goes around 5:00 :)
(and Emily Parker, I know, I know, you want to see the 7-8, it's coming, I promise)

Ahhhhh, OMG, it's 5:00!!!!!
Seth will be off soon, time to whip this house into shape so that it at least appears that the house has been clean and tidy all day :)

Here we go:

Can't have these

he's no help:

ahhhh,,5:24 grab the broom

Come on girls we got this!!

Okay, we have no time, Plan B: pour a crap ton of Pine Sol in the sink, the smell will hit him right when he walks in the door and he will forget about everything else, hahaha

This doesn't happen in anyone else's house does it?  Surely not ;)

At the Car Wash, Yeah!

We have been talking recently about being a good steward and taking care of our things.
Stevie mentioned that her car was dirty and that she needed to clean it, so impromptu car wash afternoon (which also means impromptu photo shoot of that car wash afternoon, hahaha).

She thought it was so fun to drive her car through the sprinkler a.k.a the car wash!
P.S. sorry that my kids are pretty much ALWAYS naked, when we go outside they do have clothes on, but then they strip down in a matter of minutes, I try to keep at least bathing suits on them, but they even take those off, so I just try to get creative when taking their pics so you don't see many hineys and stuff :)

While she washed her car she sang,

"Thank you Jesus for my cars,
I am taking care of them,
 taking care of them
Thank you Jesus for my cars,
I am taking care of them,
 taking care of them"

*she is such a nut*!!

washing all the cars

Olive is starting to have longer wake times, so she has been hanging out with us outside too
~I have to admit that I have been in somewhat denial that I have another "Seth-marked baby", but after this pic I don't think I can live in denial anymore ;)

of course sportin' her sun hat ;)

I enjoy watching the kids grow up and learn.  I try to teach them responsibility and cleanliness (it doesn't come naturally to Seth nor I), so we are trying hard to instill it in them pretty early on. :)

Enjoying the "Bee Playground" while we can

We will be moving in a few weeks.  We are going to miss the house a lot, but we are excited about the move (we get to have more space, save some money, closer to our church, and help out family).
One of the things I will miss about this house is the playground right across the street.
We have been going over and playing there almost every single day since we have moved in.  Even more so lately, so we can enjoy it while we can :)

This buddy loves his Minnie Mouse (I have tried several times to switch him over to Mickey, but he's a Minnie fan hardcore!)

and here is why I love this playground right across the street:
kiddo gets hurt and wants to go home, no prob, we are one second away :)

walking home

We will miss the playground, but we will find fun things to do at our new place, I am sure of it :)

Stevie the Clown

Oh, my Stevie Joy has SUCH a personality :)
I seriously adore 4 year olds!
Like I like her so much I almost feel bad for the others, lol :)

She wanted to be a clown the other day when we were playing outside, so I brought out a mirror and some make up...

She looks pretty good, huh?

And then she took it too far, bahaha

6-7

Seth works most days until 5:30 and doesn't get home until 5:45, we are usually done with dinner (kitchen cleaned and all by 6:00), then we get to have some family time for at least an hour before the kiddos have to start bathing and winding down for the evening.

So from 6-7 here is how our house looks, it's legit crunk!!

I love these two, they play together so well (P.S. check out Neela on the toilet in the back, lol)

Playing "cut the grass"

I love my sweet girl!

and boy :)

sometimes we go on bike rides, walks, shopping, play outside, and sometimes we get to just chill around the house and enjoy each other :)
